OUTDOOR ADVERTISING BECOMES STRONGER AND STRONGER IN THE EU

Recent numbers released from the EU point towards the direction that the use of motor vehicles and ownership of cars together with travelling, point out that outdoor advertising is becoming stronger and stronger as a medium in the EU.

Cyprus scores amongst the highest in the EU with 448 motor vehicles per 1000 inhabitants. Other countries like the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark and Greece score well below Cyprus with 429, 385, 385 and 348 respectively. Cyprus is very close to the EU mean of 472 motor vehicles per 1000 inhabitants.

These statistics put outdoor advertising at the forefront of media plans for 2007 and the years to come.
